Just awesome! Suddenly have a desire to swap out my mATX board for an ITX :p

It's available for 70 Euro from caseking.de - they ship to all sorts of countries as far as i can tell :)

Just merged some other posts about this case. Seems like there's a lot of interest!

Re: New Cube-Like Case by BitFenix: The Prodigy mini-ITX

My Cooler Master HAF-X case would swallow the Prodigy in one byte!

Re: New Cube-Like Case by BitFenix: The Prodigy mini-ITX

I'm really interest in that case too, for my first hackintosh. But I'll wait a little to see the first reviews!

Re: New Cube-Like Case by BitFenix: The Prodigy mini-ITX

The design is amazing! Tons of features in one tiny box. However, not everyone will use these features and I'm afraid it might make it a bit too expensive (for the actual use of it). I think that if they split some of the features into different sub models, more people would be more incline to buy it - including myself. That should, that the same time, reduce the cost as well.

Overall though, it is a beautiful case!

I have seen the video.
This is a very nice case for a maxed out mini itx.
One improvement is PSU in bottom and isolated from other components.
Most cases particularly itx cases put power supply in top.
Suck in that hot air baby. Great for longevity of PSU.
This would be best place for a vent.
This case is smarter.
PSU is clear of CPU thus not fighting for air also
Case has plenty of room for tall CPU cooler.
Fits 12" video card fine.
Hard drive bays are reconfigurable to provide room for water-cooling and you could do it in top of case also according to video.

This case was designed to do a lot of things well, but it is not small.
Drives could be turned on edge and dvd moved in and less length for video card would produce a much smaller case.
Switches and jacks on top would be nice.
I do not know if this case would have the proper airflow for a Seasonic fan less PSU.

Execution seems to be better than Lian li cases designed to do the same thing.
Lian li cases accommodate some of my suggestions above for smaller case but
put video card directly over hd. I do not like my hard drive fried sunny side up.

This case seems to be in the upper 5% or less of cases.
I would like to see a case between Wesena G4 mini and this.
The Silverstone with beveled front comes to mind. Not as pretty though.

Kudos for thinking outside of the box.
Most cases were designed by conventioneers (conventional/convention ) not engineers or designers. Anyone with a sheet metal brake and a punch press thinks they can shove a piece of junk out the door and ask $50-$100. One time someone remarked on my mini tower. "My that is big and noisy." I pulled two 120mm fans and a side vent fan with wind tunnel to CPU out of that case. Guess what temps did not go up. Fans were set up push/pull. This case is so well thought out that unless your video card is very hot it will not need the fans, a guess.

This case and very few others are great for an HTPC.
It is hard for a Hackintosh to beat a real mini price wise and noise wise and size.
Performance wise and expandability the Hackintosh has the edge.
My Hack mini was about $200+,but it has a G530 Celeron and low end video card.
A case like this makes possible an upgrade to IvyBridge that is quiet that will beat
a real mini even a new one.
