Can't select HDD for installation after formatng

Hi, i am a noob here trying to install high Sierra on an old hp pc it has a core 2 quad q8200 cpu, I created a boot able USB and am trying to install with clover bootloader. I formatted my HDD with the disk utility but when I go back to try to install HS it shows the HDD and my USB but can't select either if them. Also mouse doesn't work, maybe because it is a ps/2 mouse not so worried about that one tho.

If you have a prebuilt computer enter make and model instead of motherboard.
