Can't install on aspire 3830T

Did you try restoring the installation .dmg image to a separate partition and boot from that with iBoot? I didn't have to change to IDE mode on my machine. I'm wondering if perhaps you could be using a better bootloader...?

YeahI tried restoring and I got it to work now, but I can't boot into the system,os, whatever. I only get kernel panics! I wonder if it's becouse I havent formatted the HDD to guid, i've just installed it on another partition, becouse i'm dualbooting with windows 7.

I have now foramtted the HDD to GUID, but I don't get in to OS, though I startup with -x or -v or arch=i386. How do I know what kexts to use? When I got kernel panic, it was written something like sk.triaxis.kext.Sleepenabler(1.0.0) and alot of numbers.
