Can't format USB to GUID

Hi

I am trying to reformat my hackintosh, i try to make USB installer, but when i try to format it using GUID, i get error:

"Erase process has failed. Click done to continue."

If i format using Master boot record then it works fine.

Any ideas?

For me I went a bought a USB 2 8GB drive (thinking my problems are USB3 related), formatted it with GUID Partition Map, OS X Extended (Journaled) just as I did with a USB3 drive, but Unibeast refuses to recognise the drive despite their being a 7+GB formatted drive in the system (tried various ports, tried reformatting several times) but to no avail.
