I went through Toleda's guide to get HDMI audio in Mavericks, but found that I'm somehow missing AppleHDA.kext in my SystemeHardDrive/Library/Extensions folder...

When I use multibeast 6 to install Realtek889... it says it's going to install AppleHDA... the install completes and it says it was successful.... but then I go to the extensions folder and now AppleHDA.kext file is there to be found!

I tried dragging an appleHDA.kext from the internet, but it says it was improperly installed and what I'm reading on the internet seems to indicate that kexts need to be "signed" (Whatever that means)

So I guess I'm stumped! Any help would be great. I updated from Mountain lion if that helps

Okay, nevermind... I just realized I was going to the Library folder on my system drive, but not going to the "System" folder and then to library.

Sorry about that!
