Can't boot to Mac OX (applealc)

Hey everyone,

Can't get Sierra 12.1 to boot.

I get the following message:

"applealc alc @ layout-id was not provided by controller at HDEF"

Then 2 sets of Busy Timeout.

Then nothing.

What do I do?

Most likely you don't have HDEF in DSDT.
 
Sorry for being dense. How do I do that?

Do you have another hack or a mac which you can plug that drive into? Are booting from the USB?
