Can't add workspaces in El Capitan

I've installed OS X El Capitan correctly and it works almost perfectly. Unfortunately I'm unable to add more Desktop spaces with Mission Control. I can access to mission control, but then i can' add any more spaces. If i move the cursor all the way up nothing happens (instead of showing the desktop preview) and if I click the + button nothing happens too. Any suggestion? Alternatively, is there any shortcuts to add a new space?

Sounds like something went amiss during the install. Only way to fix, may be a reinstall of OS X
