Cannot see DVD-RW drive on Sata port

My DVD is seen as Unknown device
Though I've run Multibeast -> EasyInstall (3rdParty Sata). Is there another Kext for DVD drive recognition ?

I tried both SL and Lion, but still my unknown DVD drive. its a TSSTcorp slim DVD-RW optical drive. All of my installs were done with USBstick (iboot CD -> SL.dmg usbstick; Unibeast Lion USBstick), because of that.

Is that a matter of sata ordering ? shall I plug dvd first in in place of the SSD disk ?

seems like AHCI is wrong, and BIOS SATA -> IDE must be correct.. ^^ I'll give it a try this week.

I run combo update 10.7.3 which enables the voodoohda sound system (though no hdmi), but the sata dvd drive is not reliable.
