cannot mount root, errno = 19

I got following messages once last booting on this hdd.

BSD root:disk2s2, major 14, minor 8
jnl: unknown-dev: open: journal magic is bad (0x0 !=0x4a4e4c78)
hfs:late jnl init: failed to open/create the journal (retval 0)
cannot mount root, errno = 19

so I've reinstalled OSx 10.6.5 on another hdd however I could not access the exist hdd.
My main concern is to access and take my data.

if you know this, plz tell me how to access the exist hdd.

If this drive will not mount on the desktop then we have problems w the drive table that is written on this drive - if this drive will mount as an Icon on the Hack desktop - then you can use Disk Repair from Disk Utilities.

Of course I assume that this drive is not making noises like metal on metal if so the its gone.

Also you can try to boot w the rboot CD ( downloads section) and use that to see if it can fix the situation - rboot has lowlevel check disk program on it - you will need to enable write functions - but first I suggest you just do a fsck on the drive in question - the instructions will appear on the screen when you boot from rboot - if you get errors then enable write and see if you can get fsck to fix the situation - if it cant then its toast.
