Cannot logon to backup (clone)

Hi all,

I have a strange problem with my backup from 10.9.5.
It does boot, but mouse and keyboard do not work, so I can't log on to the system.
I tried different mice and keyboards in different ports, so it seems that USB is dead.
Also the choice of backup program, CCC or Super Duper, does not make any difference.

Interesting detail:
I have Teamviewer installed, so I thought "Hey, let's logon remotely".
But my password (not the generated one) from the original system does not work on the clone either.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Update:

I fixed it, but I don't know why.

NON-working procedure:

- Repartition harddisk
- clone Mavericks volume with SuperDuper or CCC
- reinstall Chimera

Working procedure:

- Clone Mavericks volume with SuperDuper or CCC
- Follow this procedure: http://www.tonymacx86.com/401-install-bootloader-extra-efi-partition.html
- Use "Extra" from EFI partition of original volume
