Ive made the Unibeast usb correctly and have tried both legacy and laptop support. When I boot into my BIOS there are very little settings I can change but I have enabled "AHCI mode". When I change the boot priority to USB HDD is just say windows have failed to load, Start Windows Normally or enter recover mode.

Any Ideas

Doesn't seems like you are booting your USB stick.
Can you disable booting from HDD at all from BIOS?
Or more adventurous (just to proof a point), remove the HDD and tweak till your USB boots.

Yes, it's like the laptop fails to even recognize that the USB exists. The laptop is new so the issue isn't down to faulty hardware. The BIOS in the laptop are very plain and not very customizable, I can change the boot priority (not that it helps) and "enable AHCI mode".
I am completely lost on how to install Mountain Lion.

Has it ever boot any USB before.
It could be down to the brand/model of the stick too if it ever boot before.

gravedig but same problem here any help??
