Not true. HD3000 do work with Mojave & Catalina.

You need these kexts and bundles from 10.12.6 in order to get HD 3000 working in Mojave and Catalina. But Metal will not be supported and you will have minor graphical glitches when using light mode. You can use dosdude1's patcher tool to install them.
