Can I use any RAM?

Hi,

Building my very first Hackintosh. I am settled on Corsair 16gb (4x4gb sticks) RAM... Does it matter if I use CL9 1600mhz or CL10 2000mhz RAM??

First of all, the type of RAM that you use won't matter to your Hackintosh. Secondly, the performance difference between 1600 MHz RAM and 2000 MHz RAM is very small. Just buy whichever one is cheaper.

P.S. Both of those RAM bundles are expensive as hell. I don't know about prices in Australia, but in the U.S. and Canada, you can get 16 GB of RAM for only $100 (and as little as $80 if you get it during a sale).

RAM is expensive here along with other items. Dunno why as our Aussie dollar should be making things cheaper.

That said, some US sites are cashing in on Aussie online buyers...
