Can I just Update to Big Sur straight from the System Preferences?

I'm running Catalina 10.15.7, I was wondering can I just update to Big Sur straight from the System Preferences? Is it going to pose any problems?

Hardware Info:

- i5-4690
- Intel HD Graphics 4600
- 12GB DDR3 Ram

Yes.. if your system has right config for big sur.
It looks smbios (imac14,4) & gpu (HD 4600) would still work in big sur.

BS 11.3.1 and we all assume subsequent versions, 11.4 was released today and is downloading, require a custom USBMap kext, not that difficult to make, and presumably you are running OpenCore or willing to switch.
Technically, I believe Clover is still usable with modifications but not the optimal choice.
So if you are already booting from a recent version of OC, the latest kexts and a custom USBmap kext you should be good to go.
Assuming you have a bootable clone of your current installation.
