CAD Workstation

Hello, necessity requires I look for a new build (or change to Windows 10)
Having been out of this scene for a while, want to ask if anyone has compiled what they consider to be a "rock solid" build, suitable for 3D cad and renderings (up to intermediate level).

Not hung up on Sierra as a must have, stability is key.

Currently running a mac mini which has reached it's performance capacity. Don't want an imac because I want separate screens.

Wondering if you ever made any headway? I'm about to begin my first Hackintosh as my iMac is getting closer to the end of its life. I run AutoCAD for Mac, Vectorworks, Sketchup and Parallels for Revit / Inventor. I'm looking at building the current Customac Pro from the build guide but wanted to see if you started your build or got any other feedback elsewhere.
