Hi there,

I have purchased the
Gigabyte GA-Z270N-WIFI motherboard

and was trying to buy the:
Crucial 8GB Single DDR4 2133 MT/S (PC4-17000) CL15 DR x8 Unbuffered DIMM 288-Pin Desktop Memory CT8G4DFD8213

which is recommended on the August buying guide for a hackintosh but it is out of stock. Can I instead buy the:
Ballistix Sport 8GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) CL16 DR x8 Unbuffered DIMM 288-Pin Memory BLS8G4D240FSA
or will it cause problems?

As far as memory goes, I believe all that matters is compatibility with the motherboard. You can check the Memory Support List on Gigabyte's website: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z270N-WIFI-rev-10#support-doc

The Crucial module BLS8G4D240FSA is listed there, so you should be fine. (Don't rely just on my words though, since I'm quite new to this Hackintosh world.)

It is recommended that you by 2 sticks 8GB(2x4GB) instead. I believe it will run better on Dual Channel.

Crucial has there own Compatibility Memory Checker on there website. Although id recommend checking on the manufacturers website on the Memory Support List before buying any RAM.
