Buying a Dedicated GPU for your Monterey, Ventura or Sonoma Hackintosh

I installed the XFX RX 6950XT in my rig last night. Spoofing went beautifully, however I have a serious problem now.
The computer shuts off a few seconds after I start a Geekbench benchmark. It also shut off when my wife tries to edit in Lightroom.
Does anyone know what's going on, and how I can fix this annoying issue?

I saw a post from a 6950XT owner saying that the Metal benchmark would not run for a 6950XT spoofed to a 6900XT. They said something about having to flash the Vbios to a 6900XT to make that possible. Again, I don't own one and haven't tried that. So I can't guarantee it will work. If you do want to try it at your own risk, I'd use the XFX 6900XT Vbios. Probably easiest to do the flash within Windows if you use that OS.

I tried that but doing it with the GUI version of that program but it failed. I saw that there is a way to do it via CMD prompt but the instructions that I found are not very clear, so I didn't try that

Also, here is an example of what happens when my wife tries to use mask feature in Lightroom. It happen every time as soon as she clicks that button.
Does anyone have any other ideas of what I should do?

You should post a result of Geekbench 6 Metal Score as well. Your version is too old.

Interesting to see that RX 6600 XT is just slightly higher than RX 6600 in terms of Metal. Their OpenCL scores are more different however.

About to pull the plug on a GPU for some Venturatosh goodness.

My motherboard has a free open ended PCIe gen4 x4 slot so want to make use of that.

What 5700/6600 card does someone recommend that's low power, 2 slot max and dual fan?

Need it to be Ventura compatible with appropriatge bootarg.
