Hello Everyone,

I am planning to build my first system and would like it to be dual boot in nature. My primary usage is browsing, video, gaming with programming thrown in.

I have created the following build system:

Am I missing something? I want to install Mountain Lion on this. Any gotchas that I need to remember?

Looks good to me. Are you planning to overclock or leave standard and use the included cpu fan?

I have never tried to overclock. Is it tough to do?

Is there a kit that I need to buy?

No kit - it is done in BIOS. If you have never done it do a lot of research and reading before you try it.

In my experience overclocking on the Z77X-UP5 TH causes weird USB issues after sleep. After I overclocked my 3750K, my keyboard would be really spotty for about a minute after waking up, and then function fine after that. It was really weird.

Another thing that happened is that when I logged back in it had that error message that said that something had been unplugged without ejecting it.

It is a really annoying bug—I don't know if it is happening for others or not. To get rid of it, I didn't just set my processor back to stock speed, I had to reset CMOS. But when I did, both problems disappeared.

Also it reappeared when I enabled EHCI handoff.

So, I would recommend only buying a good third party cooler if you don't mind living with these issues. I keep one BIOS unoverclocked with EHCI handoff disabled, and one overclocked to 4.7ghz, which I use when I need to do processor intensive activities.
