Build recommendations for a mega-powerful music DAW.

I have built a Hackintosh close to CaseySJs golden build with the i9 9900k. However, I did not get it to work with 128gb of RAM after checking out some options (the RAM actually does work with a windows boot ...) I had to give up and Casey does not have any further ideas what could be done.
If someone here actually has a similar z390 build with 128gb of ram, please contact me. Thanks!

I am also in the market to build a new hackintosh for music production in Ableton Live. Was looking at the Z390 build myself and was hoping to get it running 128gb of RAM as well. A lot of great points made in this thread. I am wondering if I can get a single i9 processor reliably running 128gb of RAM or if I an caped at 64gbs (from a reliability aspect).
