Broadcom 5754 Cable Unplugged

I have installed this driver: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/79-bcm5722d/

OS X recognizes the Broadcom 5754 NIC but it just says that the cable is unplugged no matter what. I have also tried different versions of the kext that I've found on here and insanelymac and it won't work no matter what. I can't seem to find what the issue is, I've searched but haven't really found anything that fixed the issue. Thanks.
