Should I be worried?
I've had a fist fight of install nightmares for about 30 hours now.

One way or another I've managed to get working on 10.7.4 with my i7 3770k on a Gigabyte z77 UD5.

But I'm concerned.
If I try to boot using -f or -v (verbose mode) I can't. It will run through everything in the S/L/E folder and hang on a USBSMC prompt.

Should I start from scratch again (preparing to shoot myself in the head here)?

I don't want to proceed ahead with this system if the lack of Verbose or -f booting is a major red flag.

Why does it boot normally but not with these flags used?
Any professional insights?
Thanks guys.

Any chance you could post your Bios settings for the Z77 UD5? Including screenshots?
