Hi guys!

When I set out to make a system, I decided to buy two of everything so I can make two machines at once. I did purchase authentic copy of OS, just in case someone might ask.

So I got the first one done (thanks to many help I got from here!!), call it A.

and I set up the second one, call it B.

I decided that doing duplication is much faster way. I connect hdd-B to Machine A.

Carbon Copy Clone it. > Reboot > select boot from hdd-B, no sweat! boot up just fine.

put it back to Machine B. it hangs at "loading system....."

***Hmm. :?:

I also tested the hardware. I checked everything (just in case of defected items).

and I put hdd-A into Machine B. Boots up just fine.

Put hdd-A and hdd-B both into Machine B. Boots up just fine.

.........and they both boot up just fine. :banghead:

so I figured it must be some boot setting I overlooked...correct me if I am wrong.

any input is appreciated!

I done this also.

Tip:

After carbon copying, the cloned disk has to be booted with iboot, and have multibeast run on it to enable the bootloader, then it will work fine. For some reason the boot loader dont clone over right. I have tested this several times.

Hmm, that actually makes perfect sense! I will try it first thing in the morning (CD drive is at work..dont ask why  )

and I will post the results!

thanks a million for the tip!!!
