Hello!

I am a long time lurker but I have not sat down to try to get a hackintosh working until now.

My Hardware:
ASUS G71
Memory Type: DDR2/800MHz/6GB
Display Type: WXGA+/17.1"/1440 x 900
1: NTFS 500GB HD (Windows 7)
1: GPT Journaled 32Gb SSD (Snow-leopard, Chameleon, boot disk)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53GHz P8700
GPU/VPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M
Operating Systems: Windows 7 64-Bit, Snowleopard

For install method I used the iboot+multibeast method talked about here.
Following install, I have downloaded the cumulative 10.6.7 update from apple here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1361

At this point I install the 10.6.7 update. When it is finished I do not hit restart, run MultiBeast 3.9.0: Snow Leopard Edition found at this wonderful site, then restart.

At this point I try to boot via Chameleon in Verbose mode

I get the following:

Sound assertion "0 !=setupHostsInterrupt ()" failed in "/SourceCashe/AppleHDA/AppleHDA-179.1.4/AppleHDAController/AppleHDAController.ccp" at line 312 goto Exit

Moved to correct forum,
Snow Leopard Installation -> 10.6 Laptops.

I have the same exact panic. I use the VoodoHDA for my creative sound card. Try uninstalling it. I removed my sound card and that software and it works fine now.
