Boot from USB stick created with MB fails!

I created a USB stick using MutliBeast following the instructions from the blog exactly. But my computer is stuck on "Verifying DMI Pool Data..." when booting. Other installers like chameleon or XPC work, but unfortunately MultiBeast does not. Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong?

What do you mean using MultiBeast? The USB stick needs to be bootable, you do this using Disk Utility and loading a bootable image onto it. Then adding on chamaelon and the kexts you need.

I followed these instructions exactly. Is there anything I have to do with the stick before I start following the instructions in the guide?
