Boot from USB installer with prohibited icon

Hi guys,

I actually already installed Sierra, but I think I kind of screwed up my APPLEHDA.kext. So want to reinstall my MacOS. Basically start everything from scratch.

So I tried to boot from usb from clover, whenever it is loading to almost the end. It will pop up the prohibited sign as shown on the picture. Anyone has any idea why I can proceed? Getting on my nerve really.

I had the same problem. recreate your Sierra USB -> plug it in -> restart computer and chose it in the BIOS setting -> when the Clover screen appears, click the gear icon -> click the PCi option -> check off both the options that mention USB (don't remember the name, but they are the 1st two choices) -> return to original Clover menu -> click spacebar -> scroll all the way to the bottom and start the installation

Hopefully it works for you! I wish someone explained all that to me earlier. I wasted 2 days reading and figuring it out.

Thanks! Just to reconfirmed, do you mean to adjust the setting in clover or bios? U mentioned that to change some setting in bios?

Use the bios settings that are recommended in the tutorial. The things you should attempt changing should be in the clover settings. I'll post pictures on what you need to do and better instructions once I get home from work later in the evening.

Hi @bollywood6274, gonna thanks you in advance for your help, but it seem that I already have two option uncheck for the USB... not sure why still happen the same.


Or do you mean to tick the box?
