Hi there. I'm having a frustrating time getting Bluetooth to work. First I bought a Targus ACB10US and that worked half the time, but sometimes on restart or waking from sleep it would go dead. Then I got a Belkin Mini (F8T016) which doesn't work at all. The Bluetooth menu item says it's on, but the System Preferences it says it's off, and the box to switch it on is dimmed. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It could be that the Belkin dongle is defective? I have the F8T016 NU and it worked straight out of the box (err... blister pack). Can you exchange it for another?

Nope, it's working fine in Windows.

Yeah, anything that invovles the use of a soldering iron ? simple and straightforward for me.

I'm eyeing a DBT-120 on ebbay right now. If that doesn't work, I'll probably just give up.

According to the guide, he "recommended" soldering the wires together. I took that to mean, if you don't, you may fry something. But if it's as easy as you say maybe I'll give it ago if I can't grab this DBT-120.
