After upgrading to High Sierra, my IOGear GBU521 USB Bluetooth dongle no longer automatically
connects. Magic Mouse and Trackpad still do.
I use latest BrcmPatchRAM2 and BrcmFirwareData and inject through Clover. I can see the initial
kext messages in verbose boot mode and they look ok and I see Firmware version V14 c5860
in About this Mac/Bluetooth which should imply a proper firmware upload.
Unfortunately I can see not the complete messages as they pass by too quickly and I do not have
any messages related to booting in /var/log/system.log although /etc/asl.conf should log kernel
messages into that file.
I appreciate any ideas how to debug further. Could be something in OSX that I have to set so that
the Bluetooth speaker Teufel Motiv B get connected (they did over the last 5-6 versions of OSX
though) or maybe some problem of the kext with High Sierra (which I cannot see as I am not
knowing how to see a simple kernel log message).
BR,
Karlson.
