Bluetooth Problem/ Short Range

Hey Guys,

almost finished my G5 Case Mod.

I use a Bluetooth Module from a white Macbook 13,3 Inch early 2009 @3,3V directly from the Power Supply

i also ordered a original Mac Pro Bluetooth Antenna from Ebay

My Problem is that i have a very short Range with my Magic Mouse. The Case stands on my Desk ca. 1m away from my Mouse.
The Antenne is fixed unter the G5 Case
The Cursor starts to lag when i get more than 50cm away from the Case.

Do i have to Ground the Antenna or der Bluetooth Module?

Anyone a Solution for that?

make sure that its in a area with no other components that might interfere with it

Hello,

I've added the Bluetooth Dongle mentioned in the Buyer's Guide (GBU512) and I bought a Apple Magic Mouse.
The OS is ML 10.8.3 and the Bluetooth wizzard found the device but the connection couldn't established.
How can I investigate the problem? Are there any LOG files where can I find some information of the paairing process?
