Alright, as of Mountain Lion, who still has Wake from sleep issues with Bluetooth Dongles?
After a failed update to ML on my existing install, I reinstalled from scratch. With a little help, I've managed to get my machine to sleep properly. Now I want to wake it up using my Kensington micro USB Bluetooth adaptor. I've already scanned and re scanned Notshy's Guide (I even posted on it, but my own solution didn't really work, and also fixed some general strange bluetooth behaviour that I no longer am experiencing. This is specifically for sleep). It is a CSR branded chipset with the product ID of 1 and a Vendor ID of 2578.
As per Notshy's guide...
After looking in /S/L/E/IOBluetoothFamily.kext/Contents/Plugins/CSRBluetoothHCIControlerUSBTransport/Info.plist, my Device appears to have an entry. It reads:
<key>CSRUSBBluetoothHCIController</key>
<dict>
<key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>
<string>com.apple.iokit.CSRBluetoothHCIControllerUSBTransport</string>
<key>IOClass</key>
<string>CSRBluetoothHCIControllerUSBTransport</string>
<key>IOProviderClass</key>
<string>IOUSBDevice</string>
<key>idProduct</key>
<integer>1</integer>
<key>idVendor</key>
<integer>2578</integer>
</dict>
Has anyone else got a CSR based dongle that allows for the option "Wake from Sleep" in System Prefs to be checked off? I don't want to buy a new dongle if I can help it.
Hope someone here at least has an idea, Thanks!
J
