We have our homemade mac in our office room, and we like to watch movies in there in the evening.
Has anyone had luck playing Blu-ray discs on Mavericks? It's not supported by Mavericks out-of-the-box; I see a few pieces of software for sale ($30-$50) that I'm not familiar with.
I saw indications that VLC might have support, but had no luck with it. I found a procedure written up that involved copying a keyfile to a certain directory, but it did not work.

Other people seemed to have been unsuccessful with that method as well.
To date I've been ripping and encoding the Blu-ray discs with MakeMKV and Handbrake. This gets the job done, but I'd rather just "pop-in-the-disc" at times.
