Hi, Please help...my blu-ray drive only works when I boot with a disc in the drive...it does not work when booted without a disc inserted or after a disc is ejected.

How do I get my hackintosh to recognize a disc has been inserted after booting and after ejecting a disc? Thanks...

I enabled hot swapable in BIOS for the internal blu-ray drive then open system info then select disc burning then pull down file menu and select refresh information....It will now load the disc properly without a reboot...I guess I will live with this work around...it sure would be nice though if it would just recognize when a disc is inserted automatically like a real Mac.

I'm having similar problems with getting the same (UJ265) bluray bd drive recognised in the system. In System Profiler it appeared previously but discs could not be accessed or even ejected.

Now after installing the 3rd Party SATA kext with MultiBeast, the disc was recognised (and could be ejected), but now System Profilers shows the SATA drive as "Unknown" as above an discs cannot be inserted.

Aside from setting BIOS as per Dezert-Way's suggestion, are we missing some old trick here?
