Blank grey screen after 10.6.8 combo update

Greetings!

Have been trying for 2 days to get my build working. Everything works ok until I´m done with the 10.6.8 combo update, when its done and I reboot without iboot disc it start loading but after a while the loading stops and I get a blank grey screen.

my build:
CPU intel core i5 2500k
motherboard Gigabyte GA-H61N-USB3 rev 1.0 bios F8 HPET setting is enabled at 64bit mode
RAM 2x 8GB Corsair Vengance (CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10)
DVD Sony Optiarc 7280S
Graphicscard Gigabyte HD 6670 1GB DDR3 (GV-R667D3-1GI
HDD Western Digital 1TB 32MB Cache (WD10EADS)
Chassi Bitfenix Prodigy White
PSU Corsair CX600W

My procedure
1. Boot with iboot, change to my Snow Leopard 10.6.3 DVD
2. Install 10.6.3
3. reboot with iboot disc and load 10.6.3
4. Run and install updatehelper
5. reboot with iboot disc and load 10.6.3
6. Install 10.6.8 coumbo update NOT rebooting
7. Run Multibeast Snow Leopard version having the correct DSDT file on my desktop renamed to DSDT.aml
8. In multibeast choosing DSDT, bootloader chimera, Audio driver ALC8XX and the rollback, selecting to boot in 64mode w graphics enabler = yes, selecting profile MacPro 3.1
9. Reboot and after loading a short while I get the blank grey screen.

Any help to figure out what I´m doing wrong would be extremely appreciated!

Typical installation steps are:
1) iBoot + Disk Utility + install Snow Leopard DVD (perform install via DVD) reboot
2) iBoot + Installed OSX HDD (boot with iBoot and loading OS via newly installed HDD) - get welcome screen
3) Run Update Helper and Reboot?
4) iBoot + Installed OSX HDD, run combo update 10.6.8 , DO NOT reboot
5) Run Multibeast and select option which are required to your board.
6) Reboot w/out iBoot

Audio/Ethernet/DSDT

DSDT and BIOS firmware must match to the corresponding number.

Also - What version of the Apple update 10.6.8 update are you installing - Tony has referenced to two versions the orginal Apple 10.6.8 combo update and the Apple 10.6.8 combo version 1.1 which is what I think you should use for this process.

Are you using a DSDT file with this if so what version and does it match the bios version.
