I'll try MacPro5,1 sysdef with -no_compat_check.

Still waiting for the dp cable. I wonder if that's the key...

Be aware, in Catalina 10.15.2 the RX580 w/DP cable works fine, but I am getting black screen if I try to install 10.15.4.
This seems to be a common problem with this card.

Thanks to @Going Bald and @UtterDisbelief for your kind and quick answers!!!

I finally got Catalina fully working. The solution was very simple: connecting the RX580 through Displayport. After that everything went smooth. I just had to add the kext for RTL811 (ethernet) and everything went OK. After that I updated to 10.15.4 and I got no black screen.

I used iMac14,2 as sysdef. Everything runs OK.
