I am trying to install Mojave on z68x-ud3h-b3 + i5 2500 + Sapphire RX580 after the clover boot logo, I get a black screen. If I replace the RX580 to my old HD6850 card there is no problem with the install however as it doesn't support the latest metal graphics it is just detected as 5MB graphics card.
I have enclosed a copy of the efi folder, please help me.

Also I have upgraded by z68x motherboard from bios to UEFI.

Can someone please help me? Point me in the right direction?

Please share a working config.plist for Sapphire RX580 graphics card

I have attached my EFI folder in the above thread, if that helps.
Also, is the problem that I am encountering is due to old motherboard and processor?

Hi. Unfortuantely I can't help you, but since I have the same problem I wanted to ask if you could install Teamviewer while you're using IGFX and then try to access your system while again using your RX and running into the black screen.

My situation is as follows:
I can run my system using the IGFX. When I use my Radeon all I see is a black screen, but I can access the system via TeamViewer. Plus: once I put macOS to sleep and wake it up again, the monitor works, in 1080p and with graphics acceleration.

Yes, once I switch the graphics card to RX, I get the black screen. I haven't fixed the network connection yet, so no Teamviewer for now. I will test later this week and will let you know.

OK. What you could try already is if the system works after sleep. Just wait for a couple of minutes (I don't know how long exactly) while haveiong a black screen and macOS should go to sleep automatically.

A brief update for you: I got it working!

It's unbelievable, but it's the port! I tried DVI and HDMI (using an adapter, since my monitor has only DVI and VGA). Today I bought a mini display port to DVI adapter to try even the last available port and it works!

Now I only have to solve the sleep mode problem (when I put my Mac to sleep it immediately wakes up again) and I'm happy!
