Beach ball with most of Apple's apps

I get the beach ball freezing apps like Textedit, iPhoto, iPages, Safari, ... I get stuck for about 90 seconds, then I can do a few things, until the beach ball reappears... very annoying and impossible to work!

I do not get the spinning beach ball with apps like Chrome, Photoshop, or any other non-apple apps.

At first I thought it was my video card (a GT640) so I took it out, and used the onboard graphics (HD4600) but the same thing happens.

Well,

so far, every time I have a problem with an app, it seems to point to the AVKit...
Even repairing permissions, it shows there is a problem with AVKit...
