Hey,

I purchased the BCM94360CD off eBay with an adapter. The links are bellow.
However Mac OS X refuses to acknowledge the hardware and use it. In the top bar the bluetooth says it's "not available" where wifi says "no hardware installed", in case that makes any difference. DPCIManager however at least showed it to me. I am currently running 10.10.2 on a X99 main board booting via clover and an SMBIOS as a MacPro5.1. MacPro6.1 isn't really an option since it won't boot with two monitors attached.

Under Windows I installed the driver and the Device Manager tells me that the "device could not be started (code 10)".

I also included what Linux had to say about it.

I'd appreciate any help.

EDIT: appended an ioreg dump. does show some bcm device.

Your SMBIOS settings don't matter for this.

I'm on a mobile device and can't view the ioreg file right now but I'm thinking the card may be fake.
I say this as the Linux output shows a Bluetooth 3.0 controller. This card has BT 4.0 low energy.

I've also read that for desktops you have to have a PCIe slot that supports being used in 1x mode and some boards only support going down to 4x.

You might try reseating the adapter in the card and possibly trying alternate PCI express slots and you might need to make sure your DSDT isn't disabling it or removing the device.

for that pci x1 issue, the manufacturers website says that it only has pci x1 slots but i also tried the pci x16 slot.

would you mind taking a look at the ioreg file and maybe validate your suspicion? Than maybe i could order a new one. I suppose this won't be an issue with the adapter card would it?

alright. here is a new copy generated using the 2.1 version and i also opened it to check.

I appreciate you looking into this.

Hi Toleda,
I've got similar problem as the guy above in this post. BCM94360cd in PCI-e X4 slot.
WiFi and Bluetooth were working fine, but the after reboot WiFi hardware not found.
Here is my ioreg: View attachment AK7.ioreg

The device is not present on PCIe. Probably defective...
