Battery is always 100% charged when unplugged

I have the opposite problem:
Battery always 100% when plugged!

When unplugged battery percentage indicator seems to work fine, while time indicator use to work badly, indicating lower and higher values at every refresh.

I have 4530s-XY002EA sold in Italy with 3gb ram.
Using Lion 10.7.2, HD3000 gpu.

I used the 3.1.0 installer and everything went fine.

I attach my original DSDT (extracted with DSDT editor, after having moved dsdt.aml from Installer from /Extra folder).

Can you please help with patching?
Thanks very much for your support.

Give this a shot.

blueking: It seems to be working!

Time calculation still a little unstable compared to original mac as time calculation changes up and down at every refresh.

Now I got 0:59 min left (29%) to full recharge when plugged.
And when It is unplugged "time left" some times rises instead of going down (eg: from 0:49 to 0:50).

But overall It's working and you are THE man!

I wish I could trick with DSDTs, but still can't learn.

let me try / test it for a couple of days, then you can add this dsdt to your guide if you like.

Thanks again!

As you have a weird model, I don't need it. I may make a thread though where I will post the patched ones.

Glad it works!

Hi guys!

At first - many thanks to you guys and especially to blueking for this thread!
I have easily installed the Mac OS on my 4530s, and it works!

It looks like I have a similar problem: with charger disconnected after sleeping battery indicators shows that the charger is plugged and battery is 100% charged.

The installer I used is the following:
HP Probook Installer v3.1.0 by blueking
release date: December 28th, 2011

I checked F0A BIOS in dsdt section of installer. My model name is A1D18EA.
I tried to upload dsdt to this post, I hope this may help.

Anyway this is not a big problem, but if there is a way to fix it - it would be wonderful!

It is still a basic 4530s right?

I guess I can try patching a DSDT for you.

Please delete the current one, and extract one with DSDT editor and send it to me.

have the same problem, I have a ProBook 4530S, but one of the 4730S and the DSDT to update the screen at 1080p, but if I remove the DSDT I have no image, to extract the DSDT, could make a modification of the 4730S for the indicators battery work well? My model is a:

HP ProBook 4530s - LJ475UT
15.6 "LED 1080p LG
Intel Core i7 2630QM (2.00GHz)
15.6 "8GB DDR3 1333 Memory
500GB HDD 7200rpm
DVD + /-RW SuperMulti DL
AMD Radeon HD 6490M

Thank you again.

So you need a 4530s DSDT with the Dual Link patch? Or what is your problem?

I need your BIOS version.

Can I get more specs on your laptop? Anything funky about it? Anyways, thanks for the DSDT, heres a present back!

EDIT- nevermind, I need you to delete dsdt.aml from /extra, reboot, and then extract a new one.

:!:

The problem I have is the battery, after downloading a bit, to reconnect, shows that 100% charged, my bios version is F20.

If you will please delete your DSDT, reboot, and run this in terminal. Then post the result.

Code:
perl -e 'open(CMD, "ioreg -lw0 \| grep DSDT|") or die; while(<CMD>)
{ chomp; if($_ =~ /\"DSDT\.?\d?\"=<([^>]*)>/) { $buff = $1; open(PIP,
"|xxd -r -p > /tmp/dsdt.aml") or die; print PIP "$1"; } }'
zip -r ~/Desktop/dsdt.zip /tmp/dsdt.aml
