AVIs and quickview...

Hi all,

Something weird.

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, my customac no longer shows AVIs in preview in finder, and wont launch them when when you press the spacebar. I canhowever play avi files in quicktime player / quicktime player 7 when launching normally. I upgraded from lion, and in lion all this functionality was working.

On my macbook Pro, I upgraded from Snow Leopard directly, and AVI functionality in quickview etc is working ok.

Can anyone help in trying to get quickview working again on my customac build? Any ideas?

Yes, I have had Perian installed since the very beginning (years) - it's also the latest.

As said, I can play avi's they just wont preview in finder or work when you press space-bar on the file like they used to when the system was LION.

Now I get the gear endlessly turning.

Anyone else have any ideas please? This is driving me nuts.
