Hi

Please could you help me ?
I tried to get the answer in previous discussions on this forum but I didn't find a solution.

Since I updated Lion 10.7.5 and today Mountain Lion, I have Audio working fine (thanks to Multibeast) but no usb audio device is recognised in System profiler.
My USB Headset Logitech is seen as an usb device, not an audio device.

Is it a problem with USB kext provided by Multibeast ?
I have 1 printer, 1 scanner and 1 external hard disk connected on USB, working nice.

Everything is fine except usb audio device.

MB : MSI H57M-ED65 (1156)
CPU : Core i7 870
Audio : ALC889
System : 10.8.2
Ram : 16 Gb

Until Lion 10.7.5, I never got a problem with USB audio devices.
This hackintosh was created in 2010 with Snow Leopard, updated to Lion and now to Mountain Lion (thanks to the team of Tonymac!).

Thank you so much in advance for your help
and forgive my bad english

Sounds like a Logitech/Mountain Lion problem. What Multibeast USB kext did you install?

Hi Toleda,

Thank you for your answer.

I choose "Legacy USB Support" in Multibeast 5.1.2

I have in /System/Library/Extensions :
- IOUSBFamily.kext (version 3.8.5)
- IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext (version 2.6.1)

My configuration is "MacPro3,1"

Thank you in advance for your help

Please could you tell me which kexts I have to delete (they are included in "legacy usb support" ) ?
MultiBeast removes the native kext and replaces them with previous versions. To undo what MultiBeast did: 1. a clean install or 2. run the current combo update. The question is did you apply the "legacy usb support" because you actually had a usb problem in ML?

I found these kext in my MacBook Air (Mountain Lion 10.8.2) :

- AppleUSBAudio.kext
- IOUSBFamily.kext

Can I copy-paste them in the MacPro 3,1 system ?

Thanks in advance
