Audio problem with GA-Z77X-UP5 TH after upgrade to Mavericks

Anyone have any trouble with audio cutting out periodically after upgrading to 10.9? Does not seem to be any pattern to it. Using onboard audio did not have trouble with ML.

Not so far that I've notice. Try reinstalling audio? Lose cable?

I have a problem with the audio periodically becoming very distorted since updating from Mountain Lion.

Tried reinstalling the driver to no avail.

hello, I had the same problem, what I did was to reinstall a audio driver using a earlier version multibeast.

hi, may I ask which drivers you chose for this board in MultiBeast?
I have updated my customac to Mavericks today, and ended up with no sound at all...
I have the exact same motherboard.

EDIT:
I solved this by looking at the Audio Section of the SystemProfiler, and there it somewhere said ID: 898
So, what I did was install the ALC898 driver with MultiBeast.
Sound is working now.
