Audio Output changes after changing Graphics card

I have
Intel i5-760 on DP55WB board w/ALC888 Intel HD audio
Installed 10.6.2 and updated to 10.6.6 during which i used nVidia 8400GS VGA
Everthing works fine
but when i use GT240 VGA which has an HDMI port as well
then my onboard audio output doesnot show up in SOUND whereas FOUR DIGITAL OUTPUTs show up there.
When i change back to Geforce8400GS then my onboard AUDIO shows in SOUND and
Output/Input also shows up there and AUDIO comes fine from ONBOARD AUDIO.

Please advise how can i get onboard audio working with GT240

I tried Audio enablers from Multibeast but does not resolve
Only with geforce 8400GS it works fine.
Please ADVISE?

I have the same issue.

Just installed a Ati Radeon HD5870 and the analogue ports were gone. I tried installing different drivers and VoodooHDA extensions and eventually the ports showed up again but no sound.
The strangest thing is, that I can hear sound from the microphone when I have VoodooHDA installed.

I have a Foxconn Blackops Mainboard with ALC 885 soundchip.
