Audio Line-In available but not working

Upgraded to 10.9.4 and I am using Clover method to patch AppleHDA.kext using the ALC898 codec. In sys. Preferences I can choose Line-In under Sound input, but no feedback when I plug my mic into the pink port. Using layout ID 3 all on board audio output is working. Mobo is GA-Z77X-UD5H rev 1.1. Anyone have any ideas? I will attach IOReg next post.

With Audio ID: 1 or 3, motherboard pink shows as Internal Microphone. If a mic is plugged in front panel pink, Line In shows, front panel pink works and motherboard pink is muted. Except when a front panel mic is connected, the Line In (second audio device) is motherboard blue.

I do not have Internal Microphone as an option then. Here is my IOReg. What did I miss when I patched the kext? Thanks in advance for any help. I'm sure I'm missing an obvious issue.
