I recently installed a supplemental update to OS 10.7.5, and now all my audio devices have disappeared from the input and output lists. This is fantastic news considering I just bought some near field monitors. *Facepalm*

System info should be listed already either in my sig or on the side....

Not sure what else to say about this.

Have you tried using MultiBeast to reinstall any audio drivers? Usually works!

Tried, and it bricked my hackintosh. Have to reformat.... again.

Too bad, a lot of work!

Now that HDD's have dropped in price again, if you can afford it would be well worth your while to:
-buy another drive
-clone your stable drive to the #2 drive before applying the update
-boot from the #2 drive and apply the update to it
-if it bricks, then boot from the original drive and re-clone it to the #2 drive for a fresh test bed & backup
-this is a lot less trouble; takes a bit of time to copy your drive, but you can go do something else while it's cloning such as jet ski or sky dive

Yes, have learned my lesson. Thanks guys... unfortunately, now I can't even get it to install lion on there. Tried the bootable usb method and it freezes on apple logo with no spinning wheel....
