Audio for P55 UD3, ALC888 10.6.3

I've been trying to get audio running in 10.6.3, ALC888 32/64-bit 10.6.3 AppleHDA.kext but it keeps failing, from what I can see all I need is the AppleHDA.kext in /s/l/e, my DSDT.aml file and correct permissions. (oh and no HDAenabler or anything but the modified AppleHDA.kext I downloaded from Tonymac)

I'm using, tonymacs P55 aml,
Public/DSDT-GA-P55-UD3-F7.aml

I see the Audio in about this mac -> More info -> Audio. But not the actual volume controls in System preferences. Can I use the standard tonymacs aml file out of the box or is aml tweeking involved. I've tried it several times just never any audio.

Here is what you need to do.

1) Download tonymac's AppleHDA downgrade installer here Public/10.6.2-AppleHDAInstaller.zip and run it.

2) Delete LegacyHDA.kext from /Extra/Extensions

3) Then install the new legacy HDA found here viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1709

4) Rebuild the kext cache using either Kext Utility or MultiBeast's Disk Utilities.
