Hi,
I just built a new Sierra machine and everything works so far, other than audio issues. Audio works fine until I use a microphone (I've tried the one built into my Logitech webcam and an external Samson USB mic, same problem for both).
For example, I tried a google hangouts call. Everything works as it should for about 30 seconds, but then I suddenly cannot hear audio any longer. At this point, going to the sound preferences panel and changing the external microphone input device to something else restores the audio.
I just rebuilt my system 3 days ago from scratch, and then applied the latest Sierra update via the App Store last night. I'm not sure if the problem existed prior to the update.
