how to instal ati radeon hd 5750 on lion 10.7.1 ...

Install latest Chimera and set GraphicsEnalber=Yes in org.chameleon.boot.plist

If unable to get full graphic QE/CI. then read thread below

Look for 5750 card (first page) as you might need to modify kext and add device/vendor ID

1) Install this kext from netkas in extra/extensions folder.
http://netkas.org/?p=880

2) Run multibeast and select system utilities to rebuild your extensions.mkext

3) Change GraphicsEnabler to "No" in org.chameleon.boot.plist.

4) Run 10.7.1 combo update from the root user.

5) While still in the root user, add "0x68BE1002" to info.plist of ATI5000Controller.kext

6) Without rebooting, log back into your user account and re-run multibeast (again select system utilities).

7) Reboot and everything should be working perfectly.

When new 10.7.x updates are released you must follow steps 4-7 all over again.

I have HD 5750 and Lion 10.7.1 working well together.

When I tried to install 10.7.2, I got kernel panic.

Here is what I have done:

• Installed ATY_Init.kext from netkas to Extra/Extensions folder.

• Runned System Utilities from Multibeast

• Installed 10.7.2 Combo Update

• Added "0x68BE1002" "0x68be1002" to Info.plist of ATI5000Controller.kext before reboot

• Runned System Utilities from Multibeast

After reboot I got Kernel Panic related to ATI.
Is there something that I have missed?

EDIT: SOLVED!
Device ID must be written in lower case letters "0x68be1002".
