I'm using Snow Leo 10.6.8 and have no extra kext for my radeon 6850.
Have 3 displays:
DVI->HDMI-Adapter->DVI-Adapter
HDMI->DVI-Adapter
ZOTAC DisplayPort-to Dual HDMI (Active)->DVI

without Graphicsenabler all three displays are working well an are full detected, but dvd player and ableton live doesnt work. If I try to change GE to Yes, only one display is deteced an a ghost display is deceted also. Also tried all combinations of ATI Rom and ATI Ports, no success

here is my actual system info:

I heard about hex edit the ati6000controller, but doesnt no how it works.. need some help

Hi,

I have a Sapphire 6850 and Snow Leopard.
I'm interested to any solution about the ATI6000.kext.

Any idea?

Have you find any solution?

I've noticed that Only DVI-D works. haven't tried DP.

If I connect the second DVI-I and HDMI it recognize the HDMI display (on video infos) but is the DVI-I ports that works.. So Digital display works but not HDMI.

Then if I disconnect the HDMI cable the DVI-I stop working.

Any idea?

I also know that if you use a Ati Config with GE=No you lost the 6850 recognition
and this cause a GPU performance loss and frame buffer issues ( DVD player, Geek bench not working).

Does anyone know how to get a fully working ATI 6850 with Snow Leopard 10.6.8?

Thanks
