ATI Radeon 5770 in 64 Bit Mode

Hello,

Is it possible to use the 5770 in 64 bit mode?
I readed that someone had got it working with an modificated asere bootloader!!
Does anybody know an solution?
What about the roms from netkas? Are they only for macpro or?
It would be really nice if somebody can help me!!!

64bit would be nice too. I just really happy OS X running as fast as it is.

It's not the OS X drivers causing the issue it's ATY_Init for enabling the card.

The problem is ATY_init. Hope netkas write an 64 bit version.
Does anybody tried it with an other injector?
Does anybody know if asere works with amd (I don´t think so)? Because i read that a few people injected the driver with it and there were able to start in 64 bit mode.

THe user uses XFX hd5770 with i7
he describes a 64 bit installation.
i tried it and i can't get to work.
is this legitimate?

I also tried that modified Chameleon with no success. I call BS.

Your quick reply prompted me to own up and donate...
I have been using this forum so much and probably will be for the life of my hackintosh, it occurs to me it is like a monthly service I don't have to pay a premium for but will because i reallize its value... like donating to public radio.

let's get the hd 5770 working in 64bit...
I stress this because I am under the impression that all apps running in 32 bit architecture even if listed as 64bit in the monitor will only access 4gb max ram.
I want true 64bit for running video and imaging programs for faster render and rendering is all about ram. am I wrong?
