ATI HD 4870x2 and ML

Hi I am trying to get ML to recognize my 4870x2 with QE/CI enabled but no luck so far. It looks like Chimera only has the ID for the 4870 and not the 4870x2 so I edited the ATI4800Controller.kext and added my dev id and now I get proper resolution and sys info recognizes it at the ATI Radeon 4800 1024 MB now. Everything looked ok but QE/CI is def not working, even just going to Apples website in safari stutters.

I have been watching that site since the beginning and he does not hav a patch for 10.8.2 or any version of ML just 10.7. Are you sure this is not the 10.8 GM patch that someone else made? If so I already tried that and has major issues.

if Chimera doesn't inject information about graphics card you could use aty_init.kext or efi string.

I was having the same problems with my 4870HDx2. After installing the 2 kext provided... everything works fine with me. I can now get 1080 resolution as well as no flickering.
