ATI 5770 without any modification

Just a note that I've started another thread in the graphics forum trying to figure out how to get at least DVI and HDMI working on these 5770 designs that have only 1 dvi, hdmi and displayport output.

I hope it'll be a good place to consolidate the information if anyone has cards like my 5770 silent cell and the MSI Hawk mentioned here. Please contribute if you have any successful approaches that work for you. I'll be updating later this week as I get a chance to try another run at the framebuffers from Kabyl and Mohammad over at insanelymac. Thanks.

I see, I should have edited com.apple.boot.plist to 64 bit.

it's no problem to get the MSI Hawk running in 64 bit. With the latest iBoot 2.5.1 and multibeast you can choose ati experimental and 64 bit boot apple screen and it works out of the box..

I tried several installs with GTS250, GT240, 9500GT and all perfect.

I have a friend that needs a HD5770 from XFX and it's a trouble to setup. Last try with ATI injectors gives bad performance, only 20fps on CB.

I'm super jealous. I've been messing with it for hours, and I can't get my hackintosh to work with my 5770. It won't boot when the 5770 is installed. I have an 8300GS that works fine, but it's a TERRIBLE graphics card. What exactly did you do to get yours working?

Is this the recommended guide for ATI ?

thanks MacMan

SwapUsage : total = 64.00M used = 0.00M free = 64.00M

graphics are 32bit. does x86_64 means im running a 64bit system?? where can i see that, and where can i change the processor info.. when i click about mac it says i have 3.1ghz quad core

i have a hawk card

I just installed Mac system. First a big thx for tonymacx86 forum , can't make it without you guys. (of course foo)
And I was instanled the 32bit in first, my MSI 5770 was working and displayed fine. but once I updated to 64bit it display as 5700. Not really help, Cuz I was looking for soultions see this post. Keep try guys, Will update if I found it.

Finally got my Hackintosh running after a summer of off and on work. I however have one problem, the HDMI out does not appear to work, the DVI to VGA adapter works with an old CRT I dug up. I am running:
Motherboard - GA-P55-USB3
Graphics - GV-R577SO-1GD

I used Chimera v1.4.1 r877, MultiBeast 3.8, and basically followed this guide despite the motherboard difference.
